( This takes place after ” Family Bonds ” ,  . This is from a chapter that has yet to be released. Written but not yet online XD. The scene is during the time where Melissa has her Gym battles and that the gym also serves as a kind of aquarium for the city, not yet also used for water shows )

Wanting to improve some scenery, Melissa and Misty find something unusual they didnt anticipate that will not just hint towards the known future for Misty we all know of… but also hint to the kind of unseen future that awaits Melissa which leads to Misty´s sisters taking over the home and gym…

Scene Preview:

As Misty moved the storage box out of the way, suddenly something caught her eye. A small card box underneath, as Misty picked up all the strange cards inside and asked Melissa about it. Seeing the box, Melissa was surprised to see them after so long time, bringing back some old memories.

Melissa: Now there is something I didn´t expect to see for awhile... not to mention being found...

Misty: What are they ? Don´t seem like normal cards... they are all just blue colored on both sides...

Melissa: I guess I could best describe this as a kind of tarrot deck... though there is far more to it...

Misty: Aren´t these meant to show the future and stuff ? Can you try to read me and tell me mom ?!

Melissa: This is actually tied by blood, to me specifically when I had aunt Lora read me once...

Misty: Aw... but thats kinda cool... why did you put it away... is it because you rejected magic ?

Melissa: That too... but once I got older... I wanted my future to be unknown and uncertain...

Misty: Oh... shame it won´t work on me... would be fun to atleast see one thing about my future...

Not wanting see that sudden dissapointing look on her daughter´s face anymore even for a mere second, Melissa then suddenly got an idea and told Misty to pick out four cards from the deck.

As Misty chose the cards, Melissa then took them and asked Misty to draw one card from her hands.

Melissa: Techically... since we are family... I could try and see if it has any effect on you at all...

Misty: I thought you couldn´t use it since you haven´t done any magic anymore unlike aunt Lora...

Melissa: I still got it in me... even you have it... well we can give it a try to see if this could work...

Misty: Yay ! Alright I´ll give it a try ! But wait, they are all still blue... you sure these still work ?

Melissa: One could say they are magical... and will reveal a fate once selected... so pick just one...

Misty: I guess I can´t cheat by peeking at them ... can´t I atleast chose what the card shows me?

Melissa: It is not up to us to decide what to know about... the cards show what is meant to be seen...

Misty: There goes half the fun... okay I´ll take that card ! Hmm... something is showing on it...

Melissa: Then it works on you too... only you can see what it is ... hold it and soon you will …

Seeing Misty frozen in place, Melissa thought she was already seeing some kind of foresight from the card, but as Misty looked up at Melissa and blushed, Melissa then asked what card she recieved.

Misty: Are you sure... that this card is really meant for me... maybe it´s still connected to you mom...

Melissa: I´m pretty sure, otherwise I would have seen it when I held the other cards... what is it ?

Misty: Here, look... two hands reaching out to each other... and a heart... is that what I think it is ?

Melissa: It´s a love card... you didn´t get some kind of foresight, anything at all once you held it ?

Misty: No, nothing... I can see what card it is but nothing happened... why could I see it then ?

Melissa: Strange... this has never happened before... you sure you didn´t see or hear anything ?

Misty: Yeah nothing at all... but if it is for me... then what does it mean... why did I pick that card...

Melissa: The card itself is just a visual aid to know what the foresights are showing... let me check...

As Melissa took the card from Misty, suddenly she froze and experienced a foresight that lasted a mere moment yet for her was much longer. Quickly back to her senses, Melissa looked at the card and then at Misty before realising that the foresight was connected to Misty yet was meant for her.

Misty: Mom you ok ? You kinda spaced out for a moment... did you get a foresight for yourself ?

Melissa: I´m fine honey... and yeah... I saw something...though not about me... but about you...

Misty: You said that this never happened to you before... then is that a good or a bad thing ?

Melissa: To see someone else´s future instead of the one... that definetely is a first time for me...

Misty: Well what did you see mom ? Doesn´t seem to be anything bad... I hope...

Melissa: I saw someone... heard a yell... I felt water... strange it´s still somewhat blurry for me ...

Misty: But if that was the love card... does that mean... you saw someone connected to that ?

Melissa: Yeah it has to be... though I am unsure of the timeline... could be days to even years...

As Melissa wanted to give back the card to Misty, she then noticed that Misty blushed even more as Melissa suspected that there might be more to it than what she claimed. Almost sure of it, Melissa then looked into Misty´s eyes and despite her other claims... Melissa saw faint signs of it. Love.

Melissa: Honey...it´s okay, you can tell me...after all, a mother knows when something is going on...

Misty: I didn´t wanna say anything yet... I feels so strange but good at the same time... is that … ?

Melissa: Yeah... not easily to describe but easily seen... in this case, an emotion from the future...

Misty: So I end up getting to be together with the one you just saw in your vision mom ?

Melissa: Maybe... could even be someone you will get a crush on the next time you go to school...

Misty: MOM ! Is this really a crush or is it someone just like dad, being with you forever ?

Melissa: Only you can answer that yourself... you will know when you see him... I am sure of it...

Misty: What about you mom ? You think if it´s reversed, that I can try to draw something for you ?

Not minding trying it for Misty´s sake, Melissa returned the card to her as Misty then told Melissa to pick a card. Selecting one, Melissa began to see the card reveal itself. Showing a card she never picked before but recognised before even revealed. As suddenly Melissa shook her head in dismay.

Melissa: Sorry honey, but doesn´t seem to work… I think maybe it reconnected from me to you…

Misty: Aw… well can I keep it ? I thought that maybe the others might wanna try it out and see…

Melissa: This isn´t a toy or game to play around with… I´m sorry honey but you can´t keep them…

Misty: But you said they are connected to me now, then I should keep them for myself only…

Melissa: I put it away after realising that for myself alittle too late… we shouldn´t have done this…

Misty: I asked you to do this, it isn´t your fault mom…I´m old enough to handle it on my own…

Melissa: I´m not going to change my mind Misty…for now it´s best that we put it away, so give…

Misty: No mom, it isn´t fair ! If you are afraid of the cards then fine, I´m not ! I´m keeping them !

As Melissa suddenly yelled out at Misty, it shocked Misty to the point that she teared up before dropping the cards on the floor and ran out of the storage room. Instead of going after her Melissa looked at the card with a grim face , as suddenly Daisy entered and ask what had happened.

Having quickly hidden the card behind her back, Melissa told Daisy that Misty is grounded in her room until she goes to have a talk with Misty,as Daisy left to find Misty and keep her in her room…

What dreaded card has Melissa drawn, and what events might threaten Misty´s destined encounter ?
