( I could have chosen a comic scene from the upcoming Touko chapter, but considering it´s my b-day soon and I usually give out more special comics during times like these or holidays, I thought about going the extra mile by spoiling abit on a future chapter I have in mind regarding our protagonists... ^^


To understand the scene better, I thought on giving some extra info, so extra spoilers for those that follow the fanfic story XD:


While I won´t spoil too, I can tease this: N has become an new antagonist for Ash after finding out about Ash´s connection to the Chosen One Prophecy, and as if that was not enough, even Misty eventually becomes another enemy for N, further putting tension on Touko to chose between him or her new precious friends.


As for what has happened prior to the comic scene:


Misty had been captured by Twilight Hunters and as fate chose, N managed to keep her capture secret from Hunter J and Vicious. Meanwhile Touko had asked to return to Sinnoh to go get N, and with Misty caught Ash follows along to take the opportunity to save her, but there is more to it.


Ash had not just saved Touko´s life , but also led to her befriending him, however the same cannot be said with N and Misty. Because N finds out something from Misty´s past that he was more than able to give her up for.


But knowing Touko´s new relation to the two, he knew that Touko would never forgive him. He even got his own personal reasons to despise Ash and Misty that it somewhat turns him into an anti-hero, but with Touko doing what she can to get him to change sides, time will tell what N will decide to do...


So what has happened right before this scene:


After Ash saved Touko again and mended her injured leg, eventually Touko gets in contact with N and with careful planning find a secure enough location to meet up with each other, both unaware that N after a heated argument reluctantly had to save Misty´s life despite having the chance not to go through with it...

As all four of them finally arrived at the meeting point, N´s thoughts were on Touko but seeing her bandaged leg, wondered just how much he can trust Ash to keep her safe from harm. Touko gently walked over to N before she got surprised by him picking her up and asking her if she was alright.


With Ash unaware what Misty been through, she simply just rushed into his arms and held him tight, while Ash finally could be relieved that she was safe and alright. But as all four were somewhat ready to part their way with no words said, Ash on the other hand knew what Misty did not know about N.


That he was the one that arranged for her capture. It didn´t take much as Ash was about to walk over to confront N but got quickly stopped by Misty holding him back. Shaking her head, she showed Ash that now was not the time or place, even more true due to their location and Touko reunited with N again.


With Misty being right, Ash changed focus onto her instead and began to walk away before they suddenly stopped. Having noticed them leaving, N had shouted out for them to stop, not wanting to let go of his hate for them despite Touko now being there for him after all she went through to get there.


N: You turn and face me when I adress you, Deciever ! Don´t you dare run off from me now!

Ash: Even at a sensitive time like this you bring this up again... fine, you want me ! Then here I am N !


Touko: N stop it, right now ! Are you that insensitive ?! Please... why can´t you just let it be ?!

Misty: Ash please, don´t ! I know how it feels, I know ! But don´t let him provoke you into this !


N: Rest assured... that I just might have returned alone without Misty... if it wasn´t for Touko...

Ash: What ?! Say that again ! I started to believe in Touko... but now, you really show your true self...


Touko: N ! After all that happened between us, Ash still risked his life for me not only once, but twice !

Misty: I told you about Ash as much as I could N... but if that isn´t enough then trust atleast in Touko...


N: Won´t change the fact that you both are a threat to me... he may be a deciever...but you are a traitor...

Ash: You can hate me as much as you damn want N, but I don´t accept you turning that hate to Misty !


Having got infront of Misty, Ash shielded her and didn´t want her any closer to N, not trusting him anymore despite Touko´s previous attempts to change Ash´s mind. Without their Pokemon, N could try to strike them if he wanted but with Touko near and Ash protecting Misty, it became far more difficult.


Used to Ash protecting her, this time Misty became more emotional than she used to, not just because of both being a threat to N, but because of Touko. Misty only needed to look at her once as Touko looked at her back and look away, with Misty doing the same once she knew. Misty saw it in her eyes.


That Touko cared for Ash. Much more than she might admit. Both admit to herself, even Ash and especially N. Both got somewhat saddened and had looked away, not because of what she felt for Ash, but because of N not able to respond back to what she feels for him. That hate overshadows his love.


Touko: Misty... it´s not because he saved me or been so kind.. I really can´t explain it... it´s just, that...

Misty: Touko... it´s ok... you don´t have to say it... I can see it... and I understand how you feel...


N: What game is this... I can understand you being grateful to him Touko... but to go that far...

Ash: Hey, Touko... thanks... for helping get Misty back... and even if only recent... for being my friend...


Touko: It´s just so... unfair... you two have been there for me ... when N haven´t... he could but didn´t...

Misty: That´s what friends are for Touko... but don´t tell that too us... tell it to him... he needs to know...


N: I knew it... they both are already turning against me... carefully manipulating you Touko...

Ash: Us ?! You are doing that all by yourself... you care more about hating us than loving her !


Touko: N... it´s true... I do care about Ash... but after what has happened... I´m not so sure about us ...

Misty: Listen to Touko... otherwise you not just risk losing her, but all chance of peace between us...


As N thought about what Misty had said, Touko in tears held onto him and waited for a response, while Misty walked away slightly, thinking about something that Ash noticed had suddenly depressed her.


Ash: Hey... what´s wrong...if it´s anything of what he said or did... then just forget about it... let´s go...

Misty: It´s Touko... while I never been in her position... it just breaks me to see her go through this...


Ash: We´ll be there for her as friends should be... even if she does decide to be together with him...

Misty: Yeah... especially you Ash... I saw it in her before she even said it... you mean alot to her...


Ash: In a way I´m glad for it and to be there for her... like May and everyone that has cared for me...

Misty: I just hope...that it will be enough for him to open his eyes...otherwise, it´s over between them...


Ash: Still, I don´t know...I get the feeling there´s something more...what happened between you two back there ?

Misty: It´s about my past... my family... even what mom did way back... he confronted me about something...


Ash: I can understand him hating me... for all I care he can hate me as much as he wants... but you... Misty...

Misty: He can say all he wants about you but it´s not true... You are The Chosen One Ash... and always will be...


Ash: Yeah... but now it´s just not me... you are a new target for him aswell... Misty...what is it between you two...

Misty: I wish I could say that he´s wrong... but there is something he said... that might have some truth to it...


How will the prophecy continue to escalate the hate N has for Ash, and what new conflict has arised that has fueled a newfound hate even for Misty ? Will Touko and N against the odds find their way back to each other or will N´s unforgiving hate continue to tear them apart, and what does the future hold regarding Ash and Touko ?
